Charm: Extended Play
16th October 2019
PERFORMANCE
Concert

Trauma Bar und Kino presents the preview concert of Charm’s EP1, her debut EP set to release beginning of 2020.

This concert is a journey into Charm’s most intimate records. The beat-driven essence, the vulnerability of both sound and lyrics builds an affective, emotional world that (in the context of Charm’s previous works too) has freedom as its guiding force.

Every track is a world builder and on the whole this EP draws a world towards unifying extremes.

Alongside Charm is Shakoor Hakeem (US), Vincent Arp (DE) and Yaminah Garcia (BR). The show also features performing artists Kebra (BR) and Slim Soledad (BR).

Charm is a multifaceted artist with the life story of a kind. Her raw and tangible vocals sets the ground to her ethereal compositions. Her unique blend of r&n and soul makes space for a new voice found on this wise young storyteller.

Her solo works include Body Memory, 2018 and EP1, 2020. As a producer, she lends a hybrid infusion within experimental pop. The artist fractures the conventional spectrums of poetry and music production delivering a unique blend of r&b and soul.

Over the past three years, the artist has been taking part in events such as Sonic Acts, CTM Festival, Kunstenfestivaldesarts and 3hd Festival, scored/collaborated in shows for Berlin Biennale, MoMA Warsaw, KW Institute of Contemporary Art and many others, completed in October 2017 her first tour in Asia and just recently an european tour alongside Pan Daijing.

Early this year, Charm released A Body I Don’t Know the first single of her debut EP set to release beginning 2020.
